HK MR223 magazine compatability

Hi all. I have purchased a HK MR223 and it comes with a 5 round small magazine. I try to put in a regular normal 30 round mag but the gun does not take it. Does anyone know what kind of AR banana shape magazine will work? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Is the mag correctly pinned? Is the mag a Pmag? The MR223 is supposed to take any USGI mag if I recall correctly.

im 99.999% sure a PMag wont work.

you will have to use an EMag...dynamite monkey sells them on here.

the main difference is the spine on the pmag (pinned or not) hits the magwell, whereas teh EMag has a smooth spine that wont conflict.

Standard USGI mags work.
Magpul EMAGS work ( http://store.magpul.com/prod_detail_list/10 ).
Magpul PMAGS don't work.
HK MR223 is designed for STANAG mags (NATO standard STANAG "standard agreement" 4179).
PMAGS are slightly oversized versus NATO standard.
I use EMAGS and various metal AR mags (LAR15, cproducts etc) in my MR223.

I own one as well... Go with the Emags....
