I'm having some issues with an HK P2000 I got recently. I took it to the range today and during the first relay it ran fine after which it started ejecting rounds in a very weak and erratic manner. By this I mean strikes to the forehead, brass going down shirts etc. In addition the gun started to do this

At first I suspected it was a single magazine but then the problem started happening at random with all of my magazines. Then I thought that I was probably limp wristing the gun, so I tightened my grip on the gun and still nothing. The gun was cleaned and lubed right after I got it and I lubed it up again before my range trip today. I even had a fellow shooter take a look and he had the exact same issues I had. I ran the pistol with a mix of 124 gr fmj sellier and bellot and 124 gr wolf remanufatured ammo(along with some gecco 124 gr fmj). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

possibly the extractor is dirty and it is not grabbing the round properly. Like the previous poster suggested, examining ejector and extractor would be my first guess.
NExt in line would be checking the recoil assembly and barrel mount, check for uneven wear, then locking block on the frame.

Most likely you have a problem with the extractor or ejector and it should be a simple fix. If you remove the roll pins, you will need new ones though (it's recommended).

I took the gun apart and cleaned it. I noticed there was a lot of grime on the extractor lip and behind the extractor. Everything else looked to be fine. I didn't notice any cracks or dings. The locking block/guide rod assembly looked fine there was even wear where it mates with the slide lock. (there were gouges in the slide lock channel but I assume those are just from previous carelessness while reinserting the slide lock). I ran a few dummy rounds through a magazine and the gun seemed to eject fine (straight to the right). I will go to the range Monday and post an update. If the problem still persists I guess I will have to replace the extractor. Thank you all for your help
