Has anyone handled a HK P2000 before?

A couple of shops state they have some on order with legal barrels for Canadians.

this was mentioned to me from someone at R. Nichols. I wonder if the P2000 SK would be available as well.................?

I have handled one, pretty good for an HK. The fellow who the gun belonged to is very happy with it. This was in the US BTW, never seen one in Kanada yet.

Stuff like how the LEM is in terms of speed and accuracy vs. cocked and locked of standard USP.

Also on HK Pro, they talked about 2 trigger weights for LEM...about 8 lbs and then by changing a couple of springs one can get it down to 5.5lbs.

I personally dislike the LEM. I don't like long triggers. My P2000 is a V3 DA/SA. But once you learned the LEM trigger, one could shoot it as well as any DA/SA gun. The USP can be had with a LEM trigger as well by the way. But the P2000 cannot be carried C&L like the USP due to the fact that it doesn't have a manual safety.

The LEM IMO is very sweet it takes some "training" to get the reset down, but you have no safety to worry about. If you use the stock spring the trigger pull is about 5lbs, the supplied spring takes it up to about 8lbs.The P2000 if it becomes available is a totally ambi pistol, a feature that I like since I'm a lefty.

A long pull around 5 lbs is ok. I remember firing a very well tuned DA revolver once that was very accurate...no jerking the trigger. 8lbs may be a bit heavy.

Of course my favorite triggers are Cocked and Locked 1911's and the superb
P7M8 triggers!

DA/SA is something I never liked. The USP option to #### and lock is good. The P99 choice of long SA and short SA were also good.

actually, the hammer spring probably only makes about .5- 1lb difference. The trigger return spring, makes the most difference, and the regular FPB spring instead of the one that comes with the LEM also helps to lower it.
