So I'm looking for some feedback, impressions on the pistol, good or bad? Any "upgrades" like the Lazy Wolf trigger? shooting performance? Cheers. Good bang for the buck? Optic choice?, any "plate" issues?

Shot a couple extensively. Outstanding performance. Very accurate with the O - ring on the barrel. Triggers are very good and break cleanly (although not as good as Walthers). Some dudes shooting them in NRA Production are swearing by them and winning.

Optics, pick your poison depending on how much you have to spend and what you plan to do with it. Trijcon and DDP are two of the best.

Thanks, I picked one up at the SFRC sale , good deal, I have an SFP9, however I'm moving towards "optics" given my aging eyes. I'll be running a Holosun 509. How did you find the extra length? or didn't you notice it?. Oh ya, how's your feelings on the PB mag release?

Length was good, didn't notice it. I prefer longer slide guns, just seem to shoot them better and faster. The ones I have tried were kits that went on regular SFP-9's so had the European mag release, so don't know how the button would be. Just playing with the button at SHOT it seemed fine.

Thanks, good feedback and I appreciate your time and comments. Cheers

Had it out today, with just with the "irons" Larry was right, laser accurate and fit and finish is typical HK. Switching the mag button over was pretty simple and installing the optic plate as well. I was pleased that they went with a steel plate. Overall 10 out of 10, and getting it on sale was a bonus.

Mounted the Holosun 509t , and did some initial groups for sighting in @ 25yrds. The diamond is 2"

Still liking the gun? It's on my list for sure. What sort of pricing did you pick it up for if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, it's definitely a "laser" when it comes to accuracy, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the "push button" mag release? but I'm finding no problems with it. The HK optic plates are steel and the mounting setup is very solid, no problem mounting the Holosun 509t. I got it on sale for about $1000.

Since there will be no SFP9, with the optics cut, this is the only option, unless you import a VP9 from the US. The OR feature certainly gives it an advantage over the standard model IMO.

That's a shame, I like SFP9 Tac OR model. Question for you, did you purchasing the lazy wolf trigger? If so, was it difficult to install?

I have been very happy with mine with a Holosun 507. I swapped in a reduced power trigger & sear spring which dropped the trigger about a pound. Extremely accurate, not sure I'd bother with a drop in trigger even if they were easy to find. I have used the paddle release for years but the button frame will be my go-to for competition.
