Ok so I FINALLY got my HK SL8-1 in the mail from canada post. Big surprise, they treated my package like a f@#%ing football and left it on the step! Not to mention it being a week late! There were big holes in the box itself and I thought oh sh!t half of my gun is probably missing, but luckily it was all there...

Anyways enough complaining. I bought a stock custom made by CNADNSL8-5 a while back and moved the trigger group from one stock to the other (not as easy as I had hoped), and installed the stock. This pretty looks even better than she did before! Don't just take my word for it look at the pics!

I do have a crappy red dot on it right now, it is all I can afford for now until I start work again in the summer. So it was between one red dot or iron sights. I threw it on there just for now.

I finally have a tacticool gun I can take out on the logging roads now! woot! Got some better pics now...

Well i dont know but I looked up the age of mine and I think it was a 99' manufacture, so it was probably a safe queen seeing as how it is in fantastic condition.

But Im sure a few shipments came in that were the US model.

I dont mind the single stack, although it will be a pain to switch to an ar magwell.
 
Nice Gun snake i have seen a lot of sl8's and just blew them off as a ugly square block of plastic but after seeing yours i might have to rethink my first impressions. did you use duracoat on that?
 
Glad to see she finally arrived more or less safely, driller212. She looks pretty good with the new stock, too. Gonna paint either the rifle or the stock so they match, or leaving it as is?:D

for now at least as is, I wouldnt mind leaving the colours, but doing something similar to what liquid_snake did. maybe all grey with some similar tiger markings in black? I dont know I'll have to test some different colours and designs. If I do I will do it myself, I have done alright camo jobs on other guns in the past.. It kind of looks like a lego gun right now, but I will live :D
 
Yea I used dura then dusted it with a matt black to dark the red.. Its a tac driver great rifle for sure

Right smack dab in the hight of modern warfare one I did it Lol

welcome to CGN, you should check the sl8 conversions thread, there are sl8's that look almost (if not) identical to real g36 rifles.


lucky me, my charging handle got stuck while I was playing with it... goddamn canada post.. its never done that before.
