Hk pros I need some help,
I am interested in a p30l maybe a vp9 if they show up soon.
My question is this: I am getting confused by all different types of trigger classifications exp. LEM, V1, V2, V3 and so on the LEM has some good features but how heavy of a pull is it? I have a Kimber 1911 and love the trigger on it so which trigger would be comparable?
Any help or insight is appreciated, wished I could say it was for CC but.....you know.
 
The only HK triggers comparable to a 1911 are the 'match' triggers (V1 in the USP series) found in the USP and USP Tactical series and then only in single action mode. There are no match triggers available for the P30 or VP series guns yet (probably never ever...).
 
V1 is light lem /5lbs
V2 is heavy lem /8lbs
V3 is da/sa /12 lbs da and 4bs sa, some cone eith safety some not. This is the only variation with decocker.

I have has them all and my favorite was the v1.

If I had to do it again, it would be a lot better. I don't own those pistols anymore so...this is what you get.

Ps/ v2 is exactly as v1 except for a heavier break.

USP Tactical only. Standard USP does not come with the match trigger although you can have it installed. USP and HK45 have fully modular trigger, so if you want to go between any trigger variants like match or lem or even hybrid lem that's all drop in.

P30 it is doable but voids your warranty. The different variants of lem is trigger pull, lem is basically a precocked double action setup with 3 different versions with different pull weights all 3 have a 7mm reset.

I believe the website explains the differences between the different variants. for the usp some trigger variants are safety decocker some are decocker only, like i said usp is completely modular so you can set it up how you like, some people even hybridize like mix match and lem parts to have a match lem hybrid.
 
I see what was confusing me, I thought LEM, Was a version on its own and V1,2,3 were da/sa with different weights. I am not necessarily looking for a match trigger, but a good trigger. Since my prefrence is for the SA trigger which version would you suggest?
 
The v1 is the closest to a sa, with a long and a soft take up.

Lem triggers are considered by hk, combat triggers, not da, not sa, but a mix in between.
There is also another 2 variants that are in use in Europe: v0 (lem with decocker) and v4 (dao), which is a double action only with a constant pull of 12 lbs, the pull from start to finish.
Lems are not like that, the trigger is pre cocked but not the hammer.

I encourage you to watch the video, which is great to understand how the hk triggers work.

That list is for the P30 series. The USP series is different, with V1 being DA/SA. As I wrote in my first post, the closest you will get to a 1911 single action trigger is with a match trigger in a USP series pistol. The standard V1 USP trigger would be my second vote. None of the P30 triggers are close to the USP V1 in single action mode.
