I am curious. What are you doing with your HK USP? Are they used in IPSC a lot? Are they that much more accurate than other stock .45's? Are they the ultimate self defense weapon? I am just asking because I had a chance to handle one and it appeared to be a tight, well made weapon; nice sights etc.. However I was wondering with what you have to pay to have one, are you better off having your .45 accurized with a decent trigger, etc. or shoot a HK USP?
Would like to hear from those who have them and what they think of them.
Thanks.

Definitely worth the money..... the best price I've seen lately is $999 at The Shooting Edge in Calgary. They had one in stock last week.

There's a couple on the boards too.

Anyone have any idea what a new 9mm USP in Stainless cost new?
BTW, the USP series of pistols is more than reliable. If you every have any problems, it is the mag lips (I am talking 8000rds = two FTF.) It was a mag that I screwed around with and the mag lip was spreading/bent.

I think the HK USP is great in any caliber they are used in IPSC but not really in a 45 just in 9 or 40 but 45 is just a nice caliber to shoot!

The cheapest I've seen is $1135 at Wolverine. Wholesale Sports in Lethbridge has one for $1199. They are getting tough to find.

I used a USP in .45 for two years in IPSC, and won my division in this years provincials with a .45 USP Tactical.

In the long run a custom 1911 is likely more competitive. Holsters & accessories are not as common for HK's - but I liked being the odd man out! :)

Ultimately if you can afford another pistol, why not get it???

more=better!!! :D:D:D
