No Canadians - BigRed is 100% on that.
Greentip is okay on cars -- but pretty bad on people (compared to Mk262)
As for the Sig's -- We had over 200. 5 are no utter done (receiver rupture). The rest of the fleet have had assundry other issues.
First Sig claimed it was the recoil guide -- they where failing and then the bolt carrier was smashing.
Then the Gas Port was too big -- and the gas plugs where replaced -- also the cokcing handles where snapping - and they where replaced -- however we are still having pistons snap - and the bolt "shroud/housing" is cracking on the areas as the above pic.
Of the 200 I would say that ALL have had some sort of catostrophic failure at some time -- usually at the range -- but several have gone down 'operationally'.
The system is a LEMON and VERY VERY few team members will carry them anymore -- opting for M4's, FN's or AK's.
It looks cool -- but.
Before anyone cry's poor PM etc. We have gun log books - and every month the guys using them need to fill out the book with round count and problems.
These guns see typically 500 or so rounds a month -- and we are not the only company with Sig 552 problems here.
