Hi Guys,
I find myself looking at an HK 45 as a potential next purchase, for those that have had a chance to fire one, what is the recoil like?
For reference, I shoot a 1911 in .45 ok, however I tend to shoot 9mm a bit better (I haven't shot other 45s, but I've shot a few different 9s, shot best with xdm). To be clear, I don't mind the recoil of the 45, I just tend to do a bit better with some 9s. My only experience with .40 has been with a Sig P226, and a very negative one... felt as if the gun wanted to jump out of my hands - it's for sale in the EE for that reason, great gun but hate it with a passion
So, for someone who profoundly hates .40, likes .45 but tends to shoot 9mm a little better... what are everybody's thoughts on felt recoil from the HK 45? I'm a little worried as it seems to have a rather high bore axis, which it has in common with the P226 (unsure if my poor experience is due to it being a .40, the high bore axis, or a bit of both).
I'm debating between a P09 (9mm), m&p (9mm or 45) or HK 45 as my next purchase, any feedback appreciated.
Thanks
Eric
