Looking for some input on a kydex or leather holster for a HK45. I don't need this holster for competition and definitely don't need any type of concealment rig. I would consider a duty holster with no more retention than the lowest level which I believe is a friction fit....please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I tried a search and came up with an old thread from 2009 and one from the start of 2012. Perhaps there are more options today so any current suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm using that with a p30L
I'm not sure if the 45 is wider, if it is that may cause fit issues, but I don't think you should have problems with length
Edit: not sure if it matters but I'm using the drop leg holster that has room for a mx6

You can get a 6004 and convert it to a 6820 for duty belt wear quite easily. I used Safariland's UBL plate.
This is: 6004-393-541. Heckler & Koch 4.53 in BBL: HK 45 Cocked and Locked w/Surefire X200/X300 BELT LOOP: HARNESS. Lined, STX TACTICAL, Foliage Green, Right.
The HK45 holster with X300 also fits P30Ls and S&W M&P 9mm

FPembleton, stupid question here because I'm unfamiliar with these types of holsters. Can you holster your HK45 without the surefire attached? Just wondering if the light needs to be attached for retention to work properly....

Thanks for the info...especially about being able to convert the 6004 for belt use!!! Do you HAVE to carry the gun cocked and lock? Or will it still work (being held in place properly) with the decocked, safety off?

not a HK45...its a P30 or P30L
