I am awaiting one of these pistols from Wanstalls, and I came across an interesting article in a recent "Trigger" magazine. First off, it states that only 2000 Black HK45Ts will be manufactured... only 1000 OD-green Hk45Ts, and only 1000 tan frame.

The other interesting feature that they list refers to the detent plate system, which HK is keeping from the USP platform, allowing us to change different trigger variations. Here's the quote:

"Perhaps the feature that makes the HK45T the most unique of all of HK's newest pistols is the fact that they kept the detent plate system from the USP instead of transitioning to the newer P2000/P30 system. The older system that the USP uses makes it possible for the shooter to set up his pistol in nine different variations, from double-action only to DA/SA to HK's superb LEM. It takes just a few simple tools and a new plate (that costs about $12) to change your pistol to whichever variant you choose.
Newer pistols from HK don't offer quite as much flexibility between variants. For example, if you purchase a p30v2, it can never be changed to a v3. Fortunately, the HK45T retains detent plates, so all options are available to the shooter."

Is this already common knowledge? Only for US made HK45Ts? Any comments?

The HK45 has the same internals as a USP, so yes, I'd say common knowledge.

The P30 series is an upgrade of the P2000 series. I don't know if all the internals were kept the same but I'd guess yes.

The P30/HK45 series guns were mainly an upgrade to external ergonomics.

Good news, Arma-Coat (one of the dealers getting the German HK45's) has announced that he has heard the Supplier is shipping the pistols from Germany. We're going to get these soon!!! Waiting patiently for my OD Green HK45.

Talked to supplier this week and mentioned that the HK's are enroute to canada. We will update when an ACTUAL LANDED date as soon as we find out. So they should be in soon.
