Decided to load some 9mm XTPs,
I found a load for 147 gr and all is good.
I was trying to find a load for 124 gr, when I came across info that seemed wierd.
I use green dot powder, usually loading 115 gr fmj with 4.7 gr of powder.
With the 147 I used 3.5 gr, which was an XTP specific load in the book.
For 125 gr fmj the book says 5.0 gr starting load, they didn't have Green Dot listed in the 124 gr
bullet section nor the XTP listed in the124 section.

So, anyways, I'm confused because it seems strange to increase powder for a 124 from 115 levels

Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

They were different oal, 1.14 and 1.15.
It still seems wrong to me, heavier bullet with more powder.
Especially considering with the 115 fmj the min charge is 4.7 and the max is 4.7.
I just tested some 115 fmj at the min oal, with 4.7gr green dot, 5 out of 50 rounds showed some high pressure signs.

I bought some Winchester 231 to load my xtp 124s' a little more info out there for 231.
Test drove a couple of xtp 124 and 147s' today as well,
3.6 gr green dot for 147 at 1.14 oal. Soft shooting.
4.4 gr w231 for 124 at 1.105. Not as soft but accurate.

Bought a chrony on the way to the range, no way to set up without a tripod. I will fix that tomorrow.
