Hog hunting

Back in the 90s a group of 4 of us hunt Michigan and drove back with 4 deer carcass in the back of our truck (with export permits for all the deers from the outfitter) never a question asked but don't know what today's regulations are.

  • With a hunter's permit or a licence
Provincial restrictions may apply. For example, on deer, there may be restrictions due to chronic wasting disease

[h=3]Meat and poultry products (for example, jerky, sausages, deli meats and patties, foie gras)[/h]
  • Up to 20 kilograms per person
  • Packages must have identifying marks, indicating what the product is
  • Proof of country of origin may be required
[h=3]Meat and poultry: fresh, frozen and chilled[/h]
  • Up to 20 kilograms per person
  • 1 turkey per person
  • Packages must have identifying marks, indicating what the product is
  • Proof of country of origin may be required
