well my dad has been wanting to go one a hog hunt for some time now and hes taken me on many great hunts so i want to return the gift i live in ontario and i'm just wondering where the the nearest hog hunting is?


by the way i don't mind goin to the US

A few years ago, a local farmer had a few wild hogs that he released . Everyone in the country was trying to shoot one. They did alot of damage by breaking into wooden bins and digging out some crops. I remember as a kid that our boar excaped, he was mean. Hard to get back in . I assume that wild hogs would be worse.
 
I saw a show on TV a while back about wild pigs and their spread. Supposedly they're already in Canada, and will inhabit the entire country within a decade. I'm thinking that this is a little far fetched, but who knows. It said that they survive in Siberia and are pretty nasty and tough critters once they've gone wild. It might have been that show about Hogzilla down in the U.S.???? I can't remember for sure. Apparently they do a ton of damage, so it's not good from that aspect.....however..........mmmmmmmm.....yummy baaaacon :D


Has ANYBODY seen a wild boar in Canada???

they were in the Frazer valley years ago, but seem to have been eradicated-no one has seen them for many years now,and if they were there,I would think there would have been evidence by the crop damage
