Hi,

I have a Hogue 12" OAL shotgun stock for a Remington 870.
It is a little too short for me even shooting it squared up to the target.
I want to add a spacer to split the difference between the 12" LOP and the factory 13.5" version.

Anyone have any success adding a spacer and still maintain the factory look/profile?

Alternatively, is there a recoil pad I could swap out to achieve the same factory look.?
Note - don't like the look of slip-on pads.

This should have gone into one of the shotgun sections...

Same as you, the 12" LOP Hogue stock didn't work for me (Mossberg). I dumped it on the EE and someone else bought it, then told me it felt too cramped. I ended up getting a Choate stock (which has spacers for adjustment) which fell comfortably between the factory and 12" LOP. Couldn't be happier.

I say dump it and get another stock. Looks cool on the shotgun but it just doesn't feel right if you are a normal sized person.

It's a product in wait...... easily done and something Hogue should have done long ago.
Good project for someone with a plastic printer.

I was thinking of creating one on a 3D printer I have access to.
Just didn't want to re-invent the wheel is there was a solution out their already.

I've suggested it to S&JHardware and Simon said he has considered it as he also recognizes the market.

Make a bunch, source some longer screws and you are in business!

Make it with a step so that it locks in place with the stock and can't rotate.
