Hogue SPS tactical stocks

I have seen a few of these stocks on the exchange and was wondering what the fit would be like for a standard barrel 700? thx

I would think so the std barrel is thiner so it should fit fine

I did that once. I had a sporter rifle in .223 that needed a stock right away for a groundhog hunt. Well, the only spare stock I had in the corner of the workshop was a varmint stock (varmint barrel channel just like your Hogue SPS Tac stock you are considering) and the skinny sporter barrel inside that varmint profile channel sure looks goofy. No doubt it was free floated and the barrel shot very well with all that airspace around it to vibrate in its own harmonics, but I still could not get over that gap around the sporter barrel.

Whatever works for you and your budget! Go for it!

thanks hungry - i was hoping someone out there might have tried it. That's kind of what I was afraid of ... I wouldn't be able to get over the goofiness either!

Yeah it looks funny you should see the barrel I have in my bell and Carlson varmint right now Hahahaha. It works shoots great. New barrel is in the future.
