It was requested that I post pictures of this when i got the rifle back. The hole was about 3/4" to the left of the "1950" stamp.

The hole repair is pretty good, although i'm a little sad that there are marks left in the area. I wonder if the blueing could be touched up a little more. Any suggestions?

Mind you, a little job of cold reblueing probably wouldn't hurt, since the "untouched" metal is pretty dark, I doubt it would contrast as much.

get some G96 liquid blue, and a soft wool cloth. take it out of the wood, and rub some on. cant hurt anything, and from what i remember of the color, it should match dam well.
if it was mine, thats what i would do. oil it up after, and let it sit oiled for a day or so.
oh yea.... the hole was for a scope mount, yes

like they say, touch it up with some cold blue and you will have a fantastic looking rifle.
BTW this 1950 Longbranch Enfields are one of the nicest and slickest Milsurp rifles on the market.
