Holes in SKS receiver

I drilled and tapped 4 holes for my choate mount a couple years ago but now id rather not have a scope on it so i pulled it off but im left with the holes. Is it a bad idea to shoot it like that with the holes open or should i take the time to plug them? Shouldnt hurt anything right??

It will not harm a thing go ahead and enjoy shooting!

Might as well leave em unplugged. Never know when it may be re-scoped.

Put some nice armorer's screws there with a bit of Blue Loctite to avoid losing them.

Yea, and avoid getting dirt in there too.

Ya that makes sense ill put some screws in and leave it at that. Thanks for the responses.

Just toss some set screws with RED Loctite in there.
