Hollosights or Red dot

IMHO both seem to perform the same function...only in some cases the halo sight will cost you more then your shotgun, and be more fragile (unless you really sink some serious cash into one).

Your mileage may differ so...try both out in a store and see which one works for you.

I have a cheapy bushnell trophy red dot on mine and its great. Only prob was the battery came loose and Id loose the red dot. i put some gum in on top of the battery then screwed on the cap and bingo it takes all kinds of abuse.

Holosights are much faster aquisition time than reddot and they are not fragile at all. My original Bushnell Holosight has been on four shotguns and now resides on an SBE-II. It has killed a whole flock of turkeys and a ton of waterfowl in its lifetime.
I just put a new low profile bushnell holosight on the Beretta Extrema-2... I think it will be as fast as the original. I have a couple of trophy reddots on other shotguns and they are a good sight for turkey hunting.
Another option is a low power scope (Bushnell Banner 1-4 Dusk till Dawn $99.00) that you can use for your slug barrel too... they work well in low light and are very accurate for Turkey hunting.
