Hollow Point Ammo, Lots of pics!

No optical illusion there. They were designed with that odd point in the center like that

Interesting. Wonder what function it serves?... maybe a little hardened steel pin to help with Auto glass penetration?

Reminds me of those proprietary screws and screw drivers they use to assemble commercial test room dividers.

The Federal Hydra Shock (second from the left, bottom pic)...

...is there a pin or point in the middle of the cavity? Or am I experiencing an optical conclusion?

It’s called the center-post. When introduced in 1988 after the FBI requested a better terminal ballistic than the cup & core bullets. It was designed to give a quicker & larger expansion at the cost of reducing penetration. It was a good design at the time and gave good results when going through ballistic gel but somewhat lacking when going through denim or leather, the newer manufactured SD projectiles give even better TB than the old hydra shock.

Cool. Thanks :)

Would love to get a box of the new hydra-shok deep's performance looks awesome too.

Well been some time since I picked up some new defensive ammo, But ended up picking up 3 boxes(two 9mm and one 380) of Fort Scott TUI ammo, Mostly to make key chains out of, But it does look very interesting
