Okay so I got a 22 250 can shoot a American eagle 50 grain hollow point ammo very well .Which penetrates better a hollow point or the vmax style, mainly for coyote hunting maybe wolf. Shot be around 150-200 yards max.i can get a box of American eagle 50 grain hollow point at Canadian tire for $20.95 a box those vmax style bullets are considerably more for a box. Which works better for these hunting situations

If you plan on selling your fur I would strongly suggest going with a HP. I put up all my own fur and poly tipped bullets makes nasty holes vs HP's. If you shoot and leave em..either bullet will be fine for dispatching coyotes, for big wolves I might go with a traditional hunting bullet vs varmint.

Cheers!!

A HP generally penetrates better than a soft point. A ballistic tip is sort of a huge hollow point with a plastic plug in it, and they tend to open faster than a small HP.

There are some varmint HPs designed to blow up.

If you want an accurate bullet that does not leave a huge exit hole, tty the Sierra 60 HP. It will stabalize in your rifle and tends to be very accurate, and is a deep perpetrator. i have used it on deer.
