I was just curious what you guys are using to fill your hollow synthetic stocks with. Do you use expanding foams? Or are you using some sort of rubber compound like polyurethane?
depends where you mean if your talking about in the hollow butt of the stock. people are filling with sand, lead shot or fishing weights and expanding foam to holds in place
I fill the barrel channel with cast lead bullets and then cover with bedding compound when bedding the action.
The butt stock I usually put a few cast bullets in there as well and then silicone in place (so they don't rattel around) then top it off with minimal expanding window & door foam.
My last one (an 700 SPS Tac in .308) I added 3250 gr in the barrel channel and 4500 in the butt stock.... I figure its a bench gun anyway, it might as well be heavy!
