Holo VS Red Dot

There are so many different types of each sight that differences and similarities are broad. Battery life tends to be better with red dots. Some prefer the fov with holo sights. Reliability will be sight-specific.

What sights were you considering ? For what application ? To be mounted on what firearm ? Answering those questions first will get you started in the right direction

I prefer aimpoints to eotechs. Big difference is battery life. My comp M3 will last for 5 years turned on according to aim point. Each model has a different FOV and dot size choices. Nice thing about some eotechs is they have calibrated hold overs.

I have two red dots right now. Both vortexs. A sparc for my .22 and a strikefire for my AR. I'm happy with both, I was just wondering for next time. I'm thinking about an XCR. And price won't be a factor. I was thinking Trijicon just for the fact that it doesn't require batteries. But the EO Tech also seems good. All my guns are just hole punchers.
