anybody have them on their pistol? i'm thinking of getting for a 1911 45
we have a local action shoot here (definitely not anything formal)
i see a lot of the pros are using them, anybody have any recommendations good or bad
or just good old fashioned advice. i've googled and searched and gotten to the point that i need to ask
before i go any further (if i buy anything i will have to get the same for my wife or she will call it cheating, she has a 9mm)

I have a Trijicon RMR (RM07) for my M&P CORE waiting for me at home. Unfortunately I haven't shot it yet, but from my research the Trijicon has usually come out on top.

let me know how you like it after you get it mounted, I've googled all of them
and really not sure which way to go (Trjicon, Eotech, Cmore)
i know there are some cheaper ones out there but yah get what yah pay for

Go with any thing from C-More. They are the pioneers of red dot sights for pistols. The RMR are not holding up. I know the shooter doing a lot of the beta testing for the RMR> He has told me to wait about a year to get all the bugs worked out.

My advice to go to a gun store and try them out for yourself. Depending on your vision (astigmatsim) some will work better than others for each individual

C more is the overriding choice of action shooters word wide.

Eotech is way to big and heavy for a handgun.

Aimpoints, are great on a rifle but all the guys I have seen using them on psitols switch to cmores.

The mini red dots are coming on strong but are still getting the bugs worked out. There is a large difference between using one on a duty pistol that sees a few hundred rounds a year versus a competition gun that will run many thousands of rounds a year.

out of the small ones, the c-more srs and the deltapoint seem to have a good life expectancy. I think both have a lifetime warranty as well (deltapoint does for sure)

If you are going to be shooting 9mm you will a offset scope mount or a 90 deg mount for the slide ride scopes. Or if you go with a mini red dot you can use a mount or mount it directly to your slide ( you will need to mill the slide behind the ejection port to have the sight sit lower to the bore of the gun.) The Delta point is a great sight but I would hold off for the Delta point 2. The delta point 2 will have a battery tray. The delta point needs to be taken of the gun/mount to change the battery meaning you will have to double check the zero of your gun.
I run the C-More STS mounted to my slide . I have about 2,000 rounds on it and love it

No. I milled about .100" off the slide to fit the sight . That is the best way to mount it to the slide. You can buy a mount that fits your rear sight dove tail but I do not believe it is the way to mount the sight to the slide.

does anybody have any opinions on c more RTS vs STS2
and i really doubt i will get a chance to actually see either one
before i place an order( i live in the sticks)
