I used my holosight (Pan a V) in the rain and it sucked. Waterdrops on the glass element at times made it impossible to see the red dot.

This isnt the biggest deal to me as shooting in the rain pretty much sucks too but I wonder how do the military guys running holosights deal with this?

Cheers

I've never had a problem using my EOTech in rain, snow, dust, etc. I'm not familiar with the brand of holosight you're talking about. If you want to buy something less expensive for range use, a lot of the folks on here seem to have had good luck with Vortex products.

Or, if you have the cash, pick up an EOTech or Aimpoint. They're both used in adverse conditions, largely without issues.
