I saw these had come into my LGS, so I dropped by and quickly bought it. I have been looking for this for a while, and was not disappointed.

There are a number of things I really like about this red dot, so will share this quickly - not a comprehensive review by any stretch, but some positives for me include the following:

1. The red dot comes with flip covers, but the flip covers are clear (may even be glass, not sure). You don't even need to flip them to see through the red dot (this comes in handy in certain situations). If you do flip them, they are out of the way and unlike rubber ones which you need to take off and put back on later, or connect them together, these hard flip covers are very user friendly but as stated, you can see through them just fine to aim and shoot.

2. You can choose between a traditional red dot and a circle red dot, with various brightness settings (the highest brightness setting on the red circle dot is so bright it's blinding in the dark).

3. This red dot mounts with a handle, and the handle has a locking mechanism whereby you need to press a button before working the handle - otherwise, it won't lock or unlock. I love this, because it saves having to screw anything in.

4. It is a "shake to wake" operation - no more pressing on a button to turn on, except for the first time. It also remembers your last brightness setting and reticle type. It auto shuts off after 10 minutes of no movement.

5. The cover/caps of the adjustment dials have reverse slats to act as flat head tightening "screwdriver" operation

6. The adjustment dials are protected by a high ridge border (or the dial covers are recessed in, so they can't be accidentally unscrewed or loosened).

7. The outside material seems to be very solid - I think I may have read that it is military grade.

The only thing I have found that will take some getting used to is this "honeycomb" looking thing at the end of the sight inside the glass - I haven't read through the manual to figure out what this is.

I can say honestly that I LOVE this red dot sight - it meets a lot of my particular preferences for a sight. Can't wait to take it to the range.
