Holster and belt for a Ruger Single Six, what do u suggest?

It pretty much comes down to what you like the looks of. Some of my own preferences are that the gun butt rides midway between my wrist and my elbow on a strong side carry, I prefer an open muzzle, I prefer a holster which can be carried either strong side or cross draw, and after dropping a number of guns, I've decided that I no longer believe holster manufacturers who claim that their holster has enough tension to retain the gun. All of my holsters now, except one, use a cross strap or thumb break. I think the belt should be a minimum of 1.75" wide, and the heavier the gun the wider the belt should be to prevent the belt from rolling over.

I like leather better than synthetics, but good leather is expensive. Google "Simply Rugged". Rob Leahy in Alaska makes a great belt and holster - if you like a no nonsense plain good quality outfit. I own a pair of his holsters, and I've never seen better.

Hi All

I want to get a holster and belt for a Ruger Single Six. Any suggestions on features I should look for?

Thanks in advance

It all depends on the purpose of the holster?
Is it to shoot IPSC?
Is it to shoot PPC?
Is it for hunting?
Is it to CCW (self defense)?

There is a significant difference between a gun belt and a dress belt. Again, it depends on the useage you intend to put it thru.
