Hey guys,
After a quick search attempt and a couple Google options I thought I come here for opinions or options on a holster for my pistol. Being as it is a brigadier model the slide, from what I've read, is about a mill. Bigger then a regular 92fs model. I don't have one to compare so i can't be sure. Maybe someone can confirm?
Wondering if a regular 92fs holster will fit, if not, any suggestions on manufacturer? Prefer leather but kydex could work.
Thanks for any input.

This is just a guess but if you want leather, then there should be no problem as the leather will stretch to accomodate 1mm. Kydex is not as forgiving unless you have a heat source.
I have a Bianchi Black Widow belt slide unit in leather. The good thing about it is the muzzle end is open so it can fit full and compact sized 92s.

Still alive - I never considered that with leather. Thanks

Clobbersauras - thanks I've heard the name blade tech I'll look into them

Thanks for the input guys.

As far as a mag holster is it better to look for a combo or individual holsters?

Just a heads up, the Bladetech is a Kydex/ plastic holster.
As for mag carriers, it's all personal taste and preference. If you are planning on shooting IPSC, people arrange individual carriers for the quickest draw and times. If you just want mag carriers for the range or shoot IDPA, then a dual carrier makes sense.

I plan on getting into the league at my range, I beleive its odpl? And maybe a little 3gun eventually. I'm still working on just getting comfortable with my firearm.
Knowing that do people use OWB or IWB for sport?
Is it common to have multiple holsters for a single firearm or is there a "universal" do all option?
Thanks for the help!

Blade Teck makes nice holsters and are great to deal with. It was the only place I could find a left handed holster for my Beretta 90-two.

Always OWB and always strong side draw.
There are some companies that build holsters that can be fitted to multiple set ups so you could call it a quasi-universal set up. Blackhawk Serpa comes to mind. You can attach the same holster to a dropleg rig, a paddle style, a belt loop OWB concealment ( I use that term loosely as the holster sticks out a bit) or to your chest rig molle using attachments you buy separately. Unfortunately, Blackhawk has a "reputation" and their stuff is not appreciated at some ranges and courses.
Some leather holsters have a similar option where you can convert the holster from a shoulder holster to a belt holster. These are usually for concealment applications. But I find these multi mode holsters are truly a jack of all trades and master of none. They work ok but just...ok.
There are guys who will get multiple holsters for the same gun. Mostly for sh!ts and giggles. Since you basically are allowed strong side OWB draws in Canada, any other style of holster you buy can't be really used at the range. But it's your money!

For competition purpose would I be looking for a "serpa" locking system or is a button retainer on a leather holster ok?

How handgun proficient are you? If you want to be careful, the thumb break leather holster is safer. The Serpa system requires your trigger finger push a lever to release the lock. In times of stress, some people have been known to let the trigger finger continue to the trigger and set off a negligent discharge. As mentioned before, some ranges and courses don't allow the Serpa for this reason.

ALL ND discharges were caused by improper use of the tip of the finger, VS intended side of your finger.

User error does not equal bad equipment

Please stop with this "SERPA propaganda"
I have no disagreement with you on this point! I use Serpa myself and have zero issues with them. In fact, I love how they click positively in place when you re-holster. I'm just stating for a possible handgun newbie searching for their first holster that a Serpa may not be the first holster they want to buy.
Even the esteemed Travis Haley will not allow Serpas on his courses.
