Hi guy's
I want to start shooting idpa and was wondering what would be a good holster to get. I was looking at a uncle mikes's law enforcement tonight which was made out of some kind of composite and was wondering if it would be any good, any suggestions would be great I will be shooting a glock model 22 and am also looking at a belt and mag holder's.
thank's marc

the uncle mikes kydex CAN be legal in IDPA with the belt attachment.... if your skinny then just heat the belt tabs and push them in so that when you wearing the holster you cannot look right thru the belt tunel.... basically just tightenthem till the belt is tight in the tunnel.

Large people do not have this problem ;)

if your interested in leather for around the same cost of kydex there is a very active IDPA shooter in Edmonton that builds a leather holster called the "Pener Speed Scabbard" that is very nice and just as easy to use as kydex. He also has single and double mag pouches....

For my 17 I use the Factory Glock concealment holster, but also have a Tac Pro. The Uncle Mikes belt holster is a good choice, but you will need to do the heat gun mod as TIM says, but as it is, it is not IDPA legal, no matter the size of the shooter, it is soecifically posted and illustrated in the IDPA rule book, but you can also buy the holster with the paddle attachment for $20 or you can buy just the paddle attachment for $10. The list really is endless, you have to find what you like and go from there.

A Bladetech DOH will get you two holsters in one. Use it as is for IPSC, or remove the drop & offset adapter and it becomes a close fitting mid-ride for IDPA.
