Holster for S&W 686 with 4.25" barrel - Any options?

hi there.

I'm looking for a holster for my S&W 686 4.25." This is not easy to find.

Did think about getting a open muzzle design holster but not sure if I'll end up damaging the front site after repeated use of holster.

Any recommendations?

Any recommendations for custom holster manufacturers?

If you get a 6" holster, I don't think it will make much of a difference. It will be cheaper than getting a custom made holster, that's for sure!

The bladetech one for the ruger gp100 fits 686's, perfectly.

Fobus makes great holsters. Reasonable too. Go take a look on Fobus.com

I make kydex rentention holsters for myself and friends, I wouldn't mind making you one at cost.

soley canadian just made me an awesome holster for my gp100 4.2" in kydex..... google them, great guy to deal with.

Prefer the feel of leather over kydex and this is one nice holster. Well made and fit the 4.2 686 very well.

If you plan on competing, go and get a Race Master. I've tried everything, including the CR Speed WS and nothing compares for speed, ease of use and security. The lock mechanism absolutely rules. Good luck and have fun.
