Holster for S&W DA .44

What Model of S&W .44? And what type holster? There are many different styles, barrel lengths and sizes of .44 S&W guns and many styles of holsters. A picture is usually requested to determine the model of gun, the use might determine the type or style of holster.

Do you want a 2 inch ankle holster or a left hand draw 7.5 inch shoulder holster?

You might find something period that was designed for a WEBLEY .455 but just about anything western or period would have to be an antique itself or be home made or custom made. Walter Austin in the Victoria B.C. area may be able to make one. The hard part of something that is not a mainstream gun , is how do you make a holster if you don't have it in your possession. Common guns are made from metal or plastic forms of the gun , odd ball ones maybe can be made from something close then wet the holster and stretch it to fit the odd ball. Good luck.

Best holster for a DA S&W Cause of the big trigger gard is a cyclone 111 by Bianchi.
There modern but work like grease lightning

If ya want a period one then any of the holsters that fit a antique Webley MKI will work just fine.


Depending on Barrel length of course. I have a Cyclone in a 4 inch and a 6 inch one.

Its the big Odd shaped trigger gard that makes finding a holster for the DA S&W model 3 not so easy.

Custom leather holster makers can make anything if they have the gun to fit it with.

Would a modern repro for the repro Scofield fit?

I'm pretty sure the larger trigger guard on the 44DA would rule out using a Schofield holster. You should be able to get a custom one made up for under $100.
