Depends a bit on what you are looking to do with the holster. IDPA and IPSC have differing requirements, although I think IDPA holsters are legal in IPSC, but not the other way around.

There are kydex (plastic) holsters and leather. I have a BladeTech kydex holster for my 1911 and it works very well. For leather I would suggest looking at Laroche Leathers ( www.larocheleathers.com ) or Penner Custom Leather ( www.pennercustomleather.com ). Neither are particularly cheap, but the quality is excellent.

In addition to the holster itself, buy a good quality holster belt and you will not regret it.

mmattockx is right about the holster types; IPSC holster are not legal for IDPA, so you need to know waht you want to use it for. Bladetech has a really good selection of SP01 (Shadow) holsters if you want to go Kydex; it is one of the best I have found. If you want to go leather, Joe Laroche has made a competition holster for me as well as an IPDA and they are both great quality.

i use a blackhawk cqc, they dont make one for CZs but the one for the sig228/229 works for the shadow. I like it but bought an add on to drop it down a couple of inches.

Forgot to mention, i use it in ipsc
