Holster models for IPSC

Well it all depends on where you are located for getting them and what division you are shooting. Open and standard seem to run to CR speeds and Ghosts. if you go over to freedom Ventures site, they are selling a "new" type that seems to be going well. Well not really being qualified to speak for production, it seems blade techs and uncle mikes are the most common in kydex.

the IPSC Store, Phoenix Range, Smoking gun and Freedom Ventures all carry some.

a blade-tech DOH holster is, in my option, the top of the line, as far as a new IPSC shooter is concerned. It will be years before the extra benefit of a speed holster will really make any difference...

Canadian distributer, if you don't want to order from the US:

Agreed. I run a dropped and offset holster, and it's plenty fast. I have a slow reaction time off the draw that hurts me more that not running a space holster ever could.

+1 on Blade Tech. Their belt holsters can be modified for IDPA use as well as offset for IPSC. Holsters allow for very fast draws.

Production, blade tech or uncle mikes if you plan on doing any USPSA matches. If not then a ghost or CR speed depending on the gun you use.
My Uncle Mikes G17 holster cost me $15 and gets me to my gun just as fast as anything else out there.

Limited/Open, Ghost is the way to go for an STI/SVI, 1911 with a round triggerguard I would go with the muzzel platform ghost or a CR Speed
Stay away from Safariland, if you need to buy a secondary "walk through strap" to keep your gun off the ground then the holster doesn't work.
The Aluminator is only good for getting scrap aluminnum way above the price of scrap.
There are other Ghost type holsters out there, Limcat, Garcia's extreme, but the ghost is a better rig.
