Holster

Hey Richard, the main use of this holster is just range use. All i want is a nice leather holster for my 1911 to keep'er in. It does'nt have to ba a duty holster or concealment holster.

Can't someone just have a holster for a firearm, for at a range and such...? Just cause i'm looking for one does'nt mean i'm carrying it around town...

AaronG, these are Milt Sparks Mirage holsters and they are a dandies. I do not care for plastic holsters but that may be just me, Regards, Richard:)

I have a Mernickle too, top quality.

But I like the front left side of the chest position that these old M7's provide for a 1911.

I've used mine to carry my GLOCK17 in the field (I have an ATC). I like it since it keeps the pistol high and dry, you can carry a pack, no problem, the vertical pistol position means you're not sweeping everyone around you like when you wear a horizontal shoulder rig and if you draw properly from it, you don't sweep anyone with your muzzle.

Where do I begin? OK, I will do the easy one first, web site for Milt Sparks: http://www.miltsparks.com/ . I watched "the Wild Bunch" tonight, one of my favorite movies. Lastly, I am sure that holster was developed for US Army tank crews. Regards, Richard:)

PS you do not want this holster for a range holster. Why? It cost me $250. What is it? This holster is by Matt Del Fatti and it is great!

TSE has some similar to the milt sparks holsters richard posted earlier, give them a call. I saw 4 or 5 for sure when I was in there a couple days ago, they were fairly reasonable $$$ if I recall.
