Holster ?

looking for a holster for a sr1911, sr9 and eventually a mp 40 or xdm. new to the side arm world. Is there a holster that will work for all of them? Or are the specific to each gun or style?

You can get soft nylon holsters that will likely fit all of then, but most prefer a custom fit Kydex type holster, or fitted leather.

I am really liking the Desantis Speed Scabbard, but there is a million options out there.

Generally speaking, any holster worth having is made to fit only one particular model of firearm.

and One Shot has some one-size-fits-most holsters. Which may or may not suit your taste.

Double Alpha Academy make a holster, a race holster which could work for all guns if they have exchangeable inserts for all those models you mentioned.
