Holsters?

Hello I am going to be doing some Black Badge training and require a new holster. As I only have experience with a drop leg I am wondering if anyone out there who is well experienced with a belt holster could shed some light on what would be a great holster to buy. Leather, composite, retention or strap?
Any advice is appreciated.
