holy belts and holsters!

I can't speak for IDPA, but for IPSC I really like the DAA product.
Mind you, talk to 6 different shooters and you'll get 7 different opinions.

really you can't use a cr belt in IDPA.

Correct. Go with the Wilderness belt for both sports, you won't be disappointed. Some go with the IDPA set up for both IDPA and IPSC Production. Some find this allows them to use the same draw for both sports. I have timed myself and for me my draw times are virtually identical using an IDPA set-up vs a dropped and offset rig for IPSC. An alternative to Blade Tech, which I have and like is Comp Tec. I now have one of their holsters and I am impressed with their quality. Worth a look.

this is a two part belt? assuming main belt through loops of pants with loop side velcro then outer has mag holders and holster and hook side of velcro? There are several different models of belts from titanium to frequent flyer, which one are you refering too?
Also quite a few different DOH holsters from blade tech, help on a model? i'm looking for a left handed holster.

The offset piece can have the muzzle pointing at your leg while holstered if you don't set it up right or use a stiff enough belt.

This would work for both IDPA and ipsc

So is the HSGI Cobra Belt IDPA/IPSC compatible? I almost bought a CR Speed belt but read this thread thankfully.
If it meets the following:

For IDPA Max width 1 3/4"
Max thickness 5/16th "

Must pass through a minimum of all but 2 of the pant loops.

If it does it is good to go for IDPA
