Hey guys,

Ive been trying to wring out everything i can out of my (stock) SS 10/22 with .920 SS Hammer forged barrel that i can, short of replacing parts! So far all ive changed from stock is the buffer, from the stell one to a Tuffer Buffer!

The trigger has been totally polished and an over-travel screw added, It breaks nice and clean now, with much less pull (haven't measured it). But it makes a worlds of a difference!

I also free floated the barrel. I sanded out the channel in the stock where the barrel lays. The grey laminate stock has no barrel band, but there was a contact patch at the fore end of the stock, i sanded it right out. I then bedded a small area in front of the action, and the area where the take down screw goes. I then bedded the receiver as well. I used regular JB Weld as my bedding compound, and regular grease an packing tape for my release agent. It all worked VERY well IMO.....

I went from shooting 2.5" groups at 50 yards to shooting some real fine 5/8" groups. And so far the ammo of choice is Winchester DynaPoint GT.... (Ive tried Winchester 555,Federal 525,Winchester Xpert HV,American Eagle 38 gn,Winchester T-22 target,CCI Blazer,CCI Sub-Sonic)

My goal is to get this thing shooting as fine as possible without replacing any main stock parts!

this is what the bedding looks like.
