This weekend I needed a project while I am waiting for my stock to come back from airbrush. So new range cart it was this for the person on a budget and easy to build, it started life as a well used Instep jogger stroller fixed front wheel. I found the stroller for $40.00 on Kijiji, had a Basspro gift card so Kolpin ATV Rhino grips $50.00 Free with my gift card, Home depot $20.00 in threaded rod, eye bolts, bungees and carabiners. Total cost to build this unit was $110.00, and father and son time in the garage. I added a mount on the hand bar grip where my wind meter will screw onto, bungee cord wrapped around the side to hold my fold up chair hocked onto eye bolts. The eye bolts also have a carabiner on each side to hock onto my shooting mat. Kept the storage area under the cart for range box. Stained a scrap piece of plywood I had for my rest and rear bag to sit on used electrical pipe clamp to hold in place. The unit folds up nice and it came with a rain cover which also still fits to keep my gear dry when mother nature is not playing so nice.

Nice job. The carabiners and draw look like something from a previous sport climbing life. Were you, or are you still climbing? Another sport that takes many hours and much gear, also so much fun!!

Going to ToyRus they have a rear bag which mounts to the handle bars, holds two water bottle and storage bag below for rain gear only $15.00. I have been looking for a umbrella which I can mount onto the bars, have not been able to find one yet. Used to go climbling in BC when I lived there in the old CF days, still have the gear so getting a new use in life. I will post pics once it is all finished, just tired of pulling a wagon much easier to push a cart. The pump is a good idea I did not think of so it will be on the to get list now.

Get a golf umbrella and slide it into your chair sleeve. By careful how much stuff you attach to the handle bars. Once you remove the shooting box and front rest you don't want it flipping over backwards with your rifle still attached.
I use one of these w ww.tipkemfg.com/foldit/

I was thinking a used baby stroller would work well as a platform for a range cart. Especially the ones that are too big for public transportation that soccer moms love so much, they hold everything. Keep it looking "stock" and you've got urban camo.

Let's see a pic of your cart StarShooter, I recall both you and Jonthan had something along the same line. There are not many options for open shooter to lug around all the gear. I found it much easier to push than pull a cart a day. Just one other little thing to keep the heart rate down. The only way I have seen better is Bob Pastor paid cadets for the weekend to pull his wagon!

I picked up a Rugger Gear cart after checking out WG300's a couple of years ago. It's about perfect for me, I added a rain cover and the only thing missing now is an umbrella holder like you see on golf carts. That should be an easy project for the spring.
