Hunting marco polo sheep has always been a dream of mine and after a couple years of taking on extra projects, I was able to make the commitment to go. Right now Kyrgyzstan offers some very affordable hunts for marco polo so it seemed to be the place to go. So many more stories but so much work to catch up on now that I'm home...lol
Great hunt and pics!
I've been to Kyrgystan a couple of times for work but didn't realize the hunting potential.
How did you like the lagman?
WOW!
Looks like an amazing adventure!
More details (your outfitter, etc.) would be great.
Thanks for sharing.
We hunted between 10,000 and 12,500 feet and weather was +10 during the day and dipped to -12 during the night. Other than a blizzard the first couple days, we enjoyed bluebird skies.
That's a great trip, congratulations, those are fine animals.
How did you get accustomed to the altitude or was it even an issue?
Nice goat Sheephunter, taxidermy appears top notch as well. Ain't a very big target at 480 yds are they? Most people don't realize how small an animal they are from looking at mounts, with those ridiculously big horns you would expect to see a much larger animal under them. They really aren't much bigger than a chamois.
