I,m looking to make a cheap pedestal mount, something I can mount indoors as a cheaper alternative to a tripod. Basically its this--I have a M2HB deact and have found the prices for tripods and the likes a bit much for me at this point.

So I thought why dont I try to make or have someone make something like a pedestal mount, with some legs that I can toss a few sand bags on and display the gun that way.

Anyone ever make there own mount and if so would you mind posting a pic of it for me.

Thanks in advance again

There is a rotating dogleg GPMG mount used on the Lynx and M38A1 Jeep. Basic 2" tubing with welded angles and a hole for a simple pintle. The base bracket is a short plug on the outside near the crew commander's knee. The gun is locked forward beside the body when the windshield is up, and the arm rotates 90 deg left when the windshield is down. Imagine one of them hanging on the gun room wall or shop bench?

I have it on my 30 cal tripod for the moment, but it kind of reminds me of an obese woman with nice legs, just kind of wrong and not practical.

Anyone else have any more pics of that they made

Don't have a .30, but the vickers is mounted on it's tripod. Have a couple of so called AA mounts but apparently they fit in a socket on something with wheels or tracks.

by the way BC shooter did that cannon come in a kit. I have a 1/4 scale mountain howitzer.and wondered if it's the same outfit. Mine is shootable,(58 cal) but never got around to firing it.

The cannon is a 50 cal . Lever Arms have them on sale on there web site . I got it a couple yrs ago. If you look close you will see part of the barrel of another behind the back of the 30 . Its a 1" bore cannon I made 15 yrs ago. Also made a 2" mortar not in the picture
