Yeah, I know, it's not an ACCURATE transit chest, but hey, did they even really make them for the M2?

It's been a fun diversion for a few days. I should have it up at the gunshow this weekend in Truro, Sat Afternoon probably.

There was never a chest as far as I know. It would be too damn heavy on a real 50.
I have an origional Canadian army transit chest for the C1/C5A1, but it is not nearly as elaborate as yours. It was really more of a shipping container.
 
Free Oak.

Came to me out of a basement that was getting renovated in 2x2 sections of varying lengths.

A bit of Minwax on the outside, with some Circa 1850 Poly on the inside (HARD AS NAILS) with some Lee Valley Green felt to tidy the contact points up.

As for the wear and tear...do you really think this is going to get beat around that much? I think not!


This is a "shower" box, not a "shipper" box!
