EVERYONE WELCOME

RULES
1)Print to full-size on an A4 or 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.

2) Shooting distance is 5m/16.4ft for pistols.

3) Shooting distance is 10m/32.8ft for rifles.
(The rules for shooting 5m or 10m are that the distance from the target to the firing line should be 10m for rifle and 5m for pistol. All shots, from whatever shooting position must be made with the competitor wholly behind the firing line but able to touch it. Basically the shooter should be behind the line but the part of the gun not being held by the shooter can protrude past the line.)

4) All targets to be shot standing.

5) Any sighting device may be used.

6) NO rests or steadying aids are allowed.

7) 16 shots total, 2 shots per target. Max score is 160. Up to 5 sighting/practice shots for the green target in the top corner.

8) 15 minutes total time (take whatever amount of time for each shot you like, but at 15 minutes-stop!).

9) Scoring is Scoring is 10 for RED, 8 for GREEN. 6 for GRAY and 4 for WHITE. Only 2 shots per target counts. Maximum score is 160.

10) Entries need to be scanned or photographed and posted. Please list shooting category (5M Pistol or 10M Rifle), gun, calibre (also state if it was a pellet or BB), sighting device and score.

11) You can enter using both a pistol and a rifle as separate entries, only one entry for each, but all rules must be followed. THERE IS ONE EXCEPTION - IF YOU HAVE ANY KIDS WHO WANT TO PARTAKE, LET THEM AND SUBMIT THEIR ENTRIES AS WELL. JUST MAKE CLEAR WHO'S RESULTS ARE WHO'S.

12) Score your own target. Scoring will be verified by board officials.

13) An honourable contest for sport. To lie or cheat, is the only real loser. Please keep it above-board!

Have a question , I understand it is one entry for pistol and one entry for rifle but can I put in entries in for a couple pistols ? Say one for a Tempest and another for an Alecto or a couple different rifles
I would enjoy seeing how well people shoot with different guns .
I would imagine most would stick with their favorite or at least what they shoot the best as this is a competition.
But it would be interesting to see how well the runner up favorite does .

Great question! Limit your final entry for the competition to one submission. However, if you shoot more than one pistol and want to share the results of the accuracy I'm sure we would all benefit from it.

10m Rifle
Weihrauch HW50S
.177 Calibre Pellet
Optisan Cobra Scope
Score: 78

Thanks again maple leaf. This is great fun and I look forward to each new target.

Here's my rifle entry. I'm not gonna lie, this was my 3rd attempt. The other two I buggered up 'cause I ended up accidentally shooting the same targets twice. Couldn't hit a red to save my life, close but no cigars for me.

Rifle: Crosman Quest 500 (modified trigger)
Sights: Stock iron sights
Ammo: Crosman Super Match 0.177cal
Distance: 10M
Score 100

Amazing...just setting up a home range now, as well as having a Diana 24 coming soon. After I line up the little diana will have a go at it. Thanks for posting.

Here are my results,
5M Pistol, Iron sights
Daisy Powerline 717 .177 cal
Grizzly Pellets 8.6 gr.
Score 130

I really got to get better paper so scoring will be much easier.

Is it possible that someone with good experience putting together a target shoot could put up another competition similar to this one? As far distance, my indoor range is 28' max

If there is enough interest. I could start up a shoot again. The only problem was that life for in the way and I didn't have time to moderate it all. If some guys want to help out, that would be sweet. As for the target distances, they are the official distances that any competition is. However, you can still shoot at 28 feet as an honourable mention.
