Hey so I took 10 rounds of x39 and emptied the powder and set off the primers so I can test-cycle my sks mag adapter. What I'm wondering is, should I hit them with boiling water and clean them so they're corrosive free? Seems like a no-brained I guess. Most of the bullets fit loosely in the casings now so I was also going to epoxy them in there with some jb weld or something. Can they be painted so as to not get mixed up with live rounds or would that not fair well with the physical cycling they would be doing in the rifle? If any of you have made good reliable dummy-rounds and have some tips I'd like to hear some.

Thanks.

Hi, I have some extra 7.62x39 cromed drill rounds (crome is partially flaking off but they still function good), if your interested I'd sell them $1ea plus shipping - if I can place them in an envelope, shipping will be about $5/10rds.
