Hello, my name is TC. And I'm addicted to the 44.

Got a 629 competitor recently.

Why is it addictive? It shoots lazer beam straight. It is an exciting round to fire due to it's power. The size of the frame and weight adjustments result in the recoil being exceptionally manageable and very comfortable to use. I have a SP101 in 357 that really gives ya a kick. This is about 40% more power and it's nicer to you.

The sales guy said it is a powerhouse, and my retort was 'I'm not buying this because I want a ride on the tea cups'.

I'm hooked on 44.

Between the GF and I we have more than a half dozen 44's. More if you include cap and ball.

They are a hoot and great for every occasion. Load them down for plinking or beginners. Stoke it up with H110 for fireballs and something you really need to hang onto.

My Merwin Hulbert is cool as all get out but I am going to have to save up and hunt down one in better condition eventually.

If you get a chance to try a single action army in 44mag, it's quite fun.

I got into reloading just to feed the 44 addiction. Heh.

I am trying to resist the urge to buy one by telling myself the .357 is enough. Thanks alot.

Haha. You're not alone. I picked up a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Mag, 4 5/8" late last year. Loaded with H110 (highest velocity loads I could find), it certainly gets your attention, but... I find myself wanting for something that... scares me a little... I think a blackhawk in .45 LC might be in my future.

Always fun and accurate for sure.Just took my newly acquired "Dirty Harry" model 29 out for a spin yesterday.Everyone at the range wanted a try had lotsa fun!Even a young lady wanted a try and she shot it well.Match those pistols with a rifle in the same caliber,I have a Henry in .44 mag.,and the fun never stops.

44 Mag is my favorite caliber by far, i have Smith, Ruger SA DA, Desert eagle,Taylor and Co but the pair of Cimarron Big Boy 44 Mag are probably the best made 44 i own, they are work of art. Here one for the eyes.
