Hopkins & Allen.........???

Stumbled across one of these today.
Side by side, 12 gauge, double triggers, auto safety and
30" barrels.
No blueing left, just a nice grey pattina.
Wood is good, no cracks or chips, just normal wear and
finish original.
No bulges or dents on the barrels.
Hinge tight and the release lever just slightly over center to
the negative side.
If my memory serves me correct, a five digit serial number.
Sorry folks, no photos as I didn't have my camera with me.
Anybody have any idea of history and ball park value?

Defiantly a neat old gun, although not in the same price range as a Parker or Elsie, but right up there with Crescent Arms, etc.
