Just got a spray bottle of Hoppes Elite odourless cleaner (lead & copper). Expensive at $11.00 for 4 oz. Wondering if anyone else has used it. If it works well it would be good to have a cleaner that is biodegradable, no smell and is a spray with no propellent. Haven't tried anything yet that could deal with lead & copper. Will try after shooting on monday at POCO.

Works better than the ammonia stuff. It's not odourless, but the smell doesn't burn your nostrils, and it also dissipates quickly. It also does minimal damage to your hands if you touch it directly, but I've seen a drop of the stuff take the finish off our dining room table. Also, the 32oz. bottle is a ridiculously better deal at around $35, so pick up one of those in the future.

I will but unfortunately Reliable only had the small spray. I'll put that in my bag and get a larger bottle. I hate that ammonia smell wuth my usual copper solvent. Also I always use nitrile disposable gloves.

It is not really a copper remover. It will remove lead and copper from "low velocity" rounds, say less than about 2,000 fps, but not high velocity copper.

High velocity copper has a molecular bond with the steel. Low velocity is a mechanical bond that MPro/Elite will remove.

I use it all the time. Also remember that it is a very good degreaser so you need to oil all surfaces when you are done.

According to the Hoppes site , Elite cleaner goes down to the molecular level.
Just quoting their web site.

misfire i can relate on the wife/smell thing!
it works good for powder and cleaning steel, but not great for copper!

I don't find that it works that great on heavy copper deposits, either. For that I use Gunslick's foaming bore cleaner==another favorite cleaning product of mine (odorless, too) and if these fail there's the old standby of Sweet's but I have to do it out on the patio and even though it's outside the wife still moans and groans about the smell....

Hoppes regular for carbon and powder and Sweets for Copper are my goto cleaners.

One drop of Hoppes behind the ears and 6 drops on the patch :D

Hoppes Elite and M-Pro7 are the same stuff. Got that from the manufacturer. Compare both and there isn't any difference.
