As a long time user of the MatchSaverz this is just like that but for bolt guns. It's perfect for PRS matches where you need that extra round or two but don't want to do a mag reload. 
I never liked the alternative offerings with the nylon retention that will come loose overtime and glue the velcro piece to the stock, this aluminum carrier mounts directly to picatinny (they also have MLok/Keymod versions) and it has allen screws for adjusting the round tension which is neat.
