Anyone know of any issues using this combination?
40S&W and 45 ACP

Hornady says some other manufactures crimp dies may cause problems if used in the last station before ejecting the cartridge. They recommend using it the station before and using a powder through expander.

Anyone out there use this combination and have a problem.

TIA

You can't use the Redding crimp dies in station five - they will contact the ejector wire. So you either:
- put them in station four and use the hornady powder-through expanders on the power/throw die
or
- have a machinist take a tenth or so off of the dies so they clear the ejector wire
or
- get a hornady crimp die.
