Hordgdon .223 Load Data COL

Hello All,

Was looking for a load for 80gr / 68gr bullets for .223, for cfe223 /win760 /h4831 powder and came across this load on Hodgdon page.
The COL 2.550" where .223 COL per all books and reference manuals i have is 2.260"

Is this an error? While i do occasionally find a group that works best SLIGHTLY above COL, i have never seen anything like that in a manual, and all the ABOVE recipes are cooked at home at the persons responsibility and experience level.

ps. Does anyone have a good load for the above?

The OAL in a book refers to the rifle they used.

THE OAL for your rifle can be quite different. For my single shot target rifle, I use 2.75"

But this length would not fit an AR-15 mag.

Ignore the book OAL and use what fits your rifle.
